Do You Have a License to Lead?

We are calling all past and present Youth & Engagement Programs participants to submit content for publication on www.aspeninstitute.org/youth!

Do you have original ideas on leadership, education, current events, and civic engagement that adhere to the Aspen Institute’s and Youth & Engagement Programs’ missions and core values?

The Aspen Institute is a nonpartisan organization whose mission is to promote values based leadership, dialogue on important issues, and civil conversation. Youth & Engagement Programs’ mission is to empower generations of thoughtful, socially-conscious, and diverse young people engaged in solving the critical issues of the day. Our values include: we are equals, we argue joyfully, we act with graciousness and gratitude in all we do, and we boldly seek excellence to transform society.

We encourage you to think critically about issues, offer your point of view honestly and directly, but keep in mind that we are dedicated to truth, leadership, and civility. Consider how you see or exhibit the mission and values in your personal, daily life. Have you read an article, listened to a podcast, seen a show, etc. that exemplifies the mission and values? Or, where are these values lacking in your community or society-at-large and how do you envision that we recover them?

Submissions that do not adhere to the mission and values of the Institute and Youth & Engagement Programs will not be considered for publication. For Content Submission Guidelines, click here. By submitting content for publication on aspeninstitute.org/youth you accept and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
